November 2nd is an important traditional date in our country. It is an occasion to enjoy the delicious ancestral dishes the Colada Morada and Guaguas bread. First, the Colada Morada is made with black corn flour, mortiño, and the sangorache herb that gives its characteristic color. Besides, people go to the cemeteries to raise small altars with offerings of flowers, painted crosses to their deceased, and everything they liked, from clothes to food, including a photo so they can come to his soul to enjoy his altar. In addition, this day is an act full of faith and ritualism, along with the religious prayers for the departed. It is a day of practicing the beliefs and traditions to preserve the memory of the deceased and enrich the culture. In my opinion, I recommend tourists to visit the General Cemetery, which is recognized as Cultural Heritage of the Nation in our city.
